FIREFLY
Originally aired from September 20, 2002 to December 13, 2002
Set 400 years in the future aboard a Firefly-class level spacecraft after a civil war between the Alliance (government Union of Planets) and the Browncoats (renegades fighting against the Alliance).
The ship's crew flies from border planet to border planet taking odd jobs (legal or not) for a living, while trying to avoid the Alliance and Union Planets.
CHARACTERS
Captain Malcolm (Mal) Reynolds (Nathan Fillion) - Captain/owner of Serenity and former defeated soldier (Browncoat) who fought against the Alliance.
Zoe Warren (Gina Torres) - Crew member, second in command and former soldier (Browncoat) who fought with Malcolm in the war and owes her life to him.
Hoban "Wash" Washburn (Alan Tudyk) - Ship's humorous pilot and husband to Zoe.
Kaywinnit Lee Frye aka Kaylee (Jewel Staite) - Ship's engineer who has a knack for fixing things.
Inara Serra (Morena Baccarin) - Ship's ambassador and companion who is renting space aboard Serenity.
Jayne Cobb (Adam Baldwin) - Cantankerous mercenary who was asked to join the crew as he is mighty handy in a fight.
River Tam (Summer Glau) - Fugitive onboard Serenity. She is a psychic from a wealthy family who was experimented on by the Alliance under false pretences until she was rescued by her brother Simon.
Dr. Simon Tam (Sean Maher) - Brother to River, ship's doctor and fugitive.
Shepard Derria Book (Ron Glass) - Passenger on-board Serenity who doesn't seem to have any particular destination in mind and paid his fare in strawberries and spices. A priest who studied at Southdown Abbey in Persephone who may have possible Alliance ties.
